"Care and treatment following hip surgery"

About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Three weeks ago tomorrow I had a total hip replacement at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. I would like to say a huge thank you to all who were involved in my care.

My treatment was under the Enhanced Recovery Programme and I can honestly say that from beginning to end everything went according to plan. At each stage I felt that I was involved in all decision making and felt fully informed all the way.
