"Respect patients"

About: St James's University Hospital

My mum was on ward j44 after being in hdu, whilst in hdu she was very confused and asked by a nurse if she was a drinker as this would explain her confusion, really,is this an appropriate question for an elderly cancer patient after major surgery. On WD j44 her air bed was left unplugged twice, she was left to clear up her own mess, after being advised not to sit for longer than 5 mins she was left sat in a chair because the staff were too busy to make bed up. Whilst I visited she was called by the wrong name and asked if she had had medication which was actually for the patient in the next bed. We asked to she a doctor on 2 separate visits no doctor appeared, I understand they are under staffed but my mum is suffering from cancer a little bit of respect takes no time at all
