"Made a difficult situation easier"

About: Marie Stopes International Manchester Centre

I'd read mixed reviews about Marie stopes but honestly if you are ever faced with this I would highly recommend Marie Stopes especially the Manchester clinic. The booking was easy and I got an appointment within the week. the day before my appontment I changed my mind and opted for a surgical procedure. It meant having to travel to Manchester but they were happy to change it for me. We arrived and were greeted by two lovely memers of staff on reception . Myself and my husband waited together before I was taken to wait upstairs on my own and one of the team explained why they do this. I waited maybe 15 mins before I was seen on time by a lovely nurse who did a finger prick test, scanned me and went through my options for the procedure and what contraception I wanted. The scan is completely discreet I didn't see a thing and they kept the pictures well hidden. They were so friendly and really made me feel at ease.I have had a procedure before at my local hospital and I was treated really badly like I was a terrible person but here you are treated like a normal human being. I went back to my husband for a while before I was taken downstairs to wait for my procedure . Another kind and lovely nurse took me to a private room outside the theatre and I had to undress my bottom half and put on a sarong . I waited maybe 20 mins and was called in. I was upset at this point and can't thank the staff enough for their treatment and for being so kind. I opted to be put to sleep and the next moment I woke on a chair in a warm room and the aftercare staff had even put my underwear on for me (bless them) I felt like I'd slept for hours but all in all the procedure, fitting of my coil and anti-d jab took under 10 mins. I was given a biscuits drink and a hot pad and medication and I was good to go. My appontment was at 835 and we were out by 1045. I can't thank everyone enough and if you ever find yourself in this situation I would visit Marie Stopes especially Manchester. Also if you have the option I would go for surgical . I have had the two and although it seems daunting it is less painful and traumatic than a medical (personally for me anyway)

I am sorry this was not responded to at the time of your visit but unfortunately, we did not have access to this site at that time. Thank you for such lovely comments and although it is quite a while ago these words are always welcome. We do appreciate and thank you for taking the time to post your feedback.
