"Mother-in-law kicked in face by horse"

About: Tameside General Hospital

My 78 year old mother-in-law was recently kicked in the face on her right cheek bone by her horse and I took her into A&E at 11.30 am, within 15mins seen by the triage nurse who sent us straight through due to the fact she had had a blow to the head.

The doctor saw us within another 15 mins, checked her over for concussion and the bleeding she had from her nose and split lip.

Sent her for an xray which overall took 30,mins from arriving to being sent back to A&E - all ok, no fractures to her facial bones and just wanted to get a facial surgeon to check her over.

Waited a while for them to appear and all ok and we left A&E at 1.45pm.

She received fantastic care and was dealt with very quickly.

Thank you!!!
