"Invisible illnesses.... please don't bother going."

People with 'invisible illnesses' although I may add I use walking aids and have done for many years now... well don't even bother trying to come here for any help. If they can't see it, you haven't got it! "It's all in the head" attitude really isn't a good approach and is really starting to wear thin. Having many things such as EDS and having numerous actual joint dislocations is very very painful. Believe me, although the doctors I have seen here seem to think not. In fact on my last appointment I was stunned. I was referred here by my GP to see about getting my opioid medication changed.... they are now blaming that as the cause of all my problems and fair implying without that I'd be more or less pain free. Absolute rubbish! I was born with this pain. This is the exact same hospital and department that gave me these drugs some years ago now. Sorry if paracetamol doesn't cut it. Anyway to be sat and told basically that your pain isn't as bad as you think and that you maybe a bit depressed (you think after listening to all this!!!?) Well I'd really rather not have to deal with this place again of I can help it now. Patronising and didn't listen to a word I said.

As for making it about your choice..... I guess they kind of do give you a choice "it's this way or no way" that's the choice!! So anyone with any kind of invisible illness..... do not bother.
