My wife became ill and I drove her to hospital for treatment and parked in a disabled space only to receive a parking penalty notice. It is impossible to telephone the parking authority in order to better understand the situation and as a result, she decided to pay the fine thinking that we had forgotten to display her disabled card. Unfortunately a few weeks later her condition returned and once again we made an emergency visit to the hospital and definitely displayed her parking permit upon the dashboard only to receive yet another parking fine. We have appealed against this penalty notice but have had no correspondence in return. I am very concerned that the official time lapse Mmy run out and we will be penalised as a result. We were visiting family when the penalty notice was delivered and were unable to reply any quicker as their is no facility to telephone and the only way to communicate is via e mail.
