"Awful mental health provision"

About: Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust / Adult mental health

(as a relative),

My relative was sectioned without the consent of the nearest relative to Royal Bolton who was not infact informed or even contacted. Later when he escaped from the ward staff covered up the escape and it was nit until the patient himself phoned relatives from several hundred miles away they realised he had escaped. Staff from Birch ward had during that time had not only, not contacted relatives but had infact tried to cover up the patients escape, not informing the closest relative who had phoned earlier or the patients spouse who was waiting outside and had asked if she would be able to see the patient at visiting time, , the staff had said "yes as long as he agrees 2 patient was as that time  hundreds of miles away having hitch hiked and slept rough
