About: The Royal London Hospital For Integrated Medicine

(as the patient),

What I liked

i have been a patient of RLHH since my cancer diagnosis in summer 2007. Since, i have received tremendous support from cancer specialist team. I had homeopathy treatment and acupuncture treatment. Both of those treatments gave invaluable help and support in managing the highly stressful situation, i.e. effectively reducing the levels of stress. Moreover, the side effects of conventional cancer treatment, for example: dryness of mucous membranes, intestinal burning and soreness from chemotherapy, mouth ulcers, hot flushes, skin burning and soreness from radiotherapy, soreness and healing after surgery, scarring - were greatly reduced or completely prevented with regular use of homeopathic medication. I can not say enough how helpful the treatment was, and as a result of it i did not have to take significant number of other drugs to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy etc.

It is the most pleasant London hospital i have been in (and in the last 3 years i have been to many!) - clean, bright, light, colourful, cheerful. It has gentle atmosphere. You can relax there. All of our hospitals should be like that, where patients are known by name not by number and can feel they have come to the place of care.

Anything else?

I could not do without the care i received from Homeopathy team and Acupuncture team. My wellbeing and my recovery to all round good health, emotionally and physically, were supported at each step, and the support still continues. In cancer treatment this is a very important factor in recovery, that is generally overlooked by chemotherapy/ surgery/ radiotherapy approach.
