"Thanks for your great care to all staff in colorectal ward 34A"

I am at home recovering well from recent surgery to reverse a Hartmann's procedure.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff on Ward34A for their efforts in assisting my recovery, not just the doctors and nurses but also healthcare assistants, catering staff and cleaners. All those mentioned conducted themselves in a professional and courteous manner at all times, which is both a credit to the hospital and the NHS.

Such was the standard of my care that I only pressed the assistance alarm on one occasion over the 5 days of my stay.

I would like to pass my thanks on specifically to Staff nurses:

Francis, Maria, Soraya, and Student nurse - Jennifer.

All of whom made me feel not just cared for, but also cared about.

My thanks to you specifically for making an uncomfortable couple of days almost a pleasure, you were attentive, caring, and professional and your friendly smiling faces punctuated several long and uncomfortable days and nights.

I sincerely wish you well in both your work and private lives and will not forget the large part you played in my recovery.
