"Excellent Experience"

I chose Darent Valley for my care and surgical procedure. I am an ex nurse and sought out a hospital which I hoped would fulfill my high expectations. I was not disappointed.

The entrance hall is impressive and areas were clean and well maintained. Clinic appointments went smoothly and staff were polite and welcoming.

When it came to the admission day for my operation I was looked after extremely well in the Pre Operative Department by really lovely staff who put me at ease. The surgeon and team explained the procedure very well and answered concerns. The anaesthetic team were professional and reassuring.

When I woke up after the operation the lovely recovery team were on hand to reassure me.

I was admitted to Mulberry Ward where the staff were attentive and gave full explanations before doing procedures. They were very kind and patient.

I witnessed all levels of the ward team giving compassionate care to frail patients and everyone was treated with the utmost respect. The food and drinks were good and excellent hygiene was in evidence.

Advice about care after discharge was given by the Senior Sister, Consultant and Pharmacist and I applaude everyone involved in my care. Thank you and keep up the good work. It is much appreciated and this was the view of many other patients I spoke to.
