I was admitted on the 8/6/16 for a total knee replacement, on Selsey
Ward and had my operation later that day. The staff in the operating room were kind as i was worried about the spinal anesthetic and sedation (which was alright )
All the staff on the ward from the nurses, health care assistants, ot ,physio, housekeeping and catering were all very good and chatty. The food was also good ,not that i had much of and appetite . The only problem i had ,was when my surgeon came round during visiting time and lectured me about my weight ! I felt this was not the time or place to do this . He does this in clinic ,but at least that is private !!
I was glad i took the time and went to the joint school on my pre admission appointment,as this was a great help . I would advise anyone having this surgery to take the time to do this.
True to their word the Enhanced Recovery Nurse rang me at home 2 days after my discharge to find out how my stay was and were there any problems in hospital and also at home.
Thank you St Richards
"Great care"
