I was told I would be contacted by the hospital within 6 weeks to see the colorectal surgeon. The surgery have chased numerous times and each time they get told that I will be contacted within the next week or two. Having passed the 6 week timescale the doctor made a second referal to see if this would speed up. Now we are coming close to a further 4 weeks and still no response or contact. A holding note would surely be sufficient to let me know my referal is in hand.
There have been numerous occasions in the past where we have had to escalate complaints in particular about guilliam ward after had had both of my children the service was awful. Nurses busy chatting away at night and when you ring the buzzer for help you get told the buzzer is only for emergencies. Not very pleasant when it was the first time I had pressed the buzzer during my entire stay. Furthermore to be left off of the breakfast delivery list when you are starving from being in the delivery suite the whole night before and when chasing 3 times being told it will be with you soon then finally when you chase the 4th time To be told that breakfast time is over and the trolley has gone.
