"Extremely long wait"

About: Lister Hospital

Family member was taken to A & E by ambulance recently, ambulance was fantastic but A & E was dreadful.

It was really scary how dirty is was ! , chairs were broken and falling apart and the toilets really disgusting. the telephone was not working or the cash machine, whole place was a shambles. There are signs mentioning wait times which are so inaccurate it was a joke, most of the patients were waiting a similar time as us, 10 hours !

Not the 3 hours it said was time on electronic board. we were there over 10 hours waiting for blood tests and to be seen, the nurse was nice but it was not pleasant when you are desperately waiting for help and really worried and told you need to be there by ambulance, we have to follow up as even in end, there are not sure about what caused problems, so not good at all, will be going elsewhere next time.
