"catering staff on ward 14a were ..."

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead)

(as the patient),

What I liked

catering staff on ward 14a were very friendly and helpful

What could be improved

Doctors and nurses did not appear to work as a team, I was shown little respect, privacy when giving confidential details had not improved from a previous stay. I was taken to a room to give details but only because I had previously complained, other patients were discussed in front of all the patients. The ward design is poor with common toilets areas not very clean.

Anything else?

Very unsatisfactory treatment from the two consultants whose care I was under. Communication was poor leading me to be admitted for an operation which they then advised me was not suitable for me.
