"Nothing but praise for the staff"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Following a visit to my GP after a fall he sent me to A & E with but gave me no referral. After a wait of about 3/4 of an hour I was first seen by a fracture nurse, she was kind very efficient and explained that as the hospital system was different without a referral I would need to be x-rayed and then checked by a specialist. I was treated with respect and kept informed by all the staff that dealt with me. I was seen by a consultant in a very short time who after examination confirmed no bone injury and gave an opinion of other possible damage, she arranged for an MRI scan. I have nothing but praise for the staff at the hospital.
