My mam has just moved on the ward. She has lung cancer a serious chest infection and a fractured pelvis. My sister visited and my Mams nightie was wet. Her tablets were on the floor and no one had been in her room for over 2 hours even wen staff know she needs regular turning to prevent pressure sores. My mam asked for a cup of tea so my sister asked the nurse. She was told my mam had one at dinner time n nxt 1 wld b at teatime as they didn't have enough staff to make a one. My mam has been on a drip because she was dehydrated and now can't even have a drink because of staff levels. When my sister asked why is her tablets on the floor she was told it wasn't me it was the last shift. I work in care and wldnt treat a dog like this never mind a woman dying of cancer.
