"Mermaid Centre - Referral by GP"

I was referred to the Mermaid Centre by my GP for Breast imaging, examination and consultancy with the Onco-Breast Care Team.

I have to say that the care and support I received this morning was excellent - all reception and imaging staff, doctors and consultants went out of their way to make what was a very frightening and worrying experience, as reassuring and friendly as possible.

I was treated with great dignity and respect and I am truly grateful for their kindness. I was fortunate enough to receive my diagnosis during my first visit and it was good news.

However,

I know that those who aren't so lucky and need to have further support at the Mermaid Centre with this team will only receive the most outstanding care. Thank you very much - we are very lucky to have this facility in Cornwall.
