"I feel I am now on an even keel and able to cope with being a carer"

About: Six Degrees IAPT

(as a service user),

I felt I needed the service because I found myself in a situation which was very stressful. My husband had a severe stroke but since then he was in hospital after having severe pneumonia, and as a result his progress after having the stroke was held back. I, as his carer, have found life particularly difficult.

We decided to move from our house to a smaller flat. The whole process was very stressful for various reasons and as a result I felt almost suicidal. My sons suggested I get some help which I did but now I feel I am now on an even keel and able to cope with being a carer and all of the responsibilities it now entails.

Hi Cairo476, many thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are pleased to hear you are now feeling more on an even keel, and better able to cope.
