I was an NHS patient referred to the BMI back in August 2015 for a hernia operation completed in September. The experience from start to finish was exemplary, everything, and I mean everything was outstanding, admin, nurses, surgeon all made me feel completely relaxed and the op went to plan.
I decided that after this amazing experience to take out private medical insurance in case, and it is quite common, that another hernia appears soon afterwards and I would like to choose where I have the procedure. Alas, in April 2016, I went back to my Doctor for another suspected hernia and was able to choose the BMI BStE and my surgeon from before. In June I had the op and once again, it was a pleasure from start to finish and I'm sitting here singing their praises one week on and nearing full recovery.
I would wholeheartedly recommend BMI BStE, it will be my first choice if I need any further health issues addressed, fingers crossed that I don't, but I wouldn't have any concerns about going back to theat
BMI.
Thank you to all the staff at the hospital, reception, admin, the tea lady, cleaners, chef, nurses, theatre staff, surgeon et all, you are all as important and made me feel welcomed and looked after.
