"My A&E visit"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

Dear Sir/Madam,

Today I had to make a morning visit to your A and E department because I was concerned about some reoccurring bleeding from a stitched wound.

The wound was a result of the removal of a lipoma the previous week at Broad Green hospital.

After a short wait at approximately 2 o’clock I was called in for treatment by a lovely nurse or doctor, no sure which.

I was very worried about the pain and the bleeding but the member of staff immediately put me at ease with their whole manner and professionalism. The member of staff careful explained in detail what had happened to the wound and what they were going to do, they also answered my questions and concern clearly.

Their manner put me at ease straight away and they proceeded to deal with the problem with the utmost care and skill.

After cleaning the wound they carefully removed the stitches, telling about what was happening.

The member of staff then reapplied the dressing and I was allowed to go.

I was so impressed with this person’s care and devotion to their work and to the patient that I felt the need to write and sing their praises. Although, my wound was a minor thing for the hospital to deal with, the care and treatment I received by this person was second to none and it left a great impression on me.

I would be very grateful if you would pass on my thanks to the lady concerned.
