I attended this morning, Saturday, for my third injection for wet AMD. The staff work at a very efficient speed whilst maintaining their personal approach. Ten years ago, AMD would not have been treatable in this way but the ever-increasing numbers of patients now attending, which will continue to increase, for new and regular follow up appointments, have meant that it is now necessary for the Eye Clinic to be open on Saturdays to keep up with demand. I must congratulate the Doctors and Nurses for the seamless efficient way in which they co-operate to deal with the large numbers attending. At the start of this invasive treatment, my fears were quickly allayed with the sensitivity shown and I have not been concerned at further attendances.
Although we were told the Clinic was running late today, in fact, we were not there for too long a time Thank you to all the dedicated staff involved. The fear of losing one's sight is very real but today, I was given cause for optimism..
