"Royal Gwent hospital"

About: Royal Gwent Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

Turned up to a&e due to a problem that has prevented me for going to the toilet for 3 days.. After signing in at the front desk, I was told I would be seen within 2hours.. The waiting room was completely full, due to my problem I couldn't sit down if I wanted to as it was to painful to do so. The nurse called for me 3 and half hours later, which was no problem for me as I just wanted to be seen and get sorted. I'm the type of person who stays away from hospitals unless I really really need there help, anyway she took some details and sent me back to the waiting room. Everyone who was in before me got seen and left within 4 hours.. However 1 couple who came in atleast 3 hours after I did, happened to know 1 of the nurses, they where seen pretty much straight away and left within an 1 half hours. By this point I'm getting annoyed as so many people who came in hours after myself with swollen ankles/wrists and feet where regarded as priority over myself, who hasn't been to the toilet in 3 days and has been stood in the waiting room for 6 hours. I walked to the front desk and asked why so many people were being seen before me to which she replied your not priority, you will be called when they get chance. Now I'm confused myself I would of thought some one who hadn't been to the toilet for 3 days due to not knowing if I needed to go or the pain of trying. So after 6 hours and 10 mins I lost all faith in the Royal Gwent hospital.
