"Staff were very pleasant and caring and always willing to help"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had a TKR at East Surrey Hospital in mid-June. I would like to say I found it a very stress & trouble free experience. I received expert care right from arriving at Surgical Admissions through to being discharged from Woodland Ward. Everyone I met were very pleasant and helpful.

A special mention goes to the anaesthetist & the nurse that assisted her as they were both exceptionally good & reassuring. The staff in Recovery were very good and it was a clean, quiet, pleasant environment. My 4 day stay on Woodland Ward was very good. All staff (cleaning, housekeeping, physio, OT & nursing) were very pleasant and caring and always willing to help when asked. The food I received was tasty and the portion sizes just right. Also there were quiet a few choices for mealtimes. I have nothing negative to say about my stay at East Surrey Hospital, all the staff I encountered are a credit to their professions.
