"accident from fall from a ladder"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust

(as the patient),

My partner called the ambulance, I was laying crumpled on the patio after falling 6ft hitting a fence and large pot. ambulane response fast. I was in a lot of back pain and it seemed the more experianced ambulance man was talking the lady medic through examining my back deciding my pain muscular they opted for a chair in which pain I crawled on my knees to and onto, the pain was terrible in which time the ambulance man opted for spinal board, again in pain I crawled from seat to board. my complaint is that I think you should air on side of caution in future and opt for board as at poole hospital found I have a broken vertabra and am in a brace. I could have far worse injury from not going on board 1st. I just wish future similar back injurys think board first.
