This is complaint is about a stand off between my RAH hospital dentist and my dental Hospital dentist.
The dental Hospital Glasgow phoned me, to say that the dental Hospital and their consultant don't want to see me at all. They said this is because they had sent a letter in August 2014 to my consultant from the RAH telling them to do root treatments first before my Glasgow consultant wants to see me again or treat me. They want only to monitor the cyst over time.
I told my RAH consultant about the root treatments, but they are refusing to do them because they don't agree with the Glasgow consultant that that is the right approach. The RAH consultant thinks the cyst needs to be removed surgically.
So I do not get treatment for the cyst in my jaw from either of the hospitals. I am stuck in the middle of it. The cyst has been left untreated for two years now and started to grow.
Is the NHS accountable for me losing more teeth as a result of this?
The RAH consultant never contacted the dental hospital about their refusal to treat me as the dental Hospital instructed.
The dental hospital consultant keeps cancelling the appointments I have, and keeps rescheduling appointments. This means the cyst has not been monitored either.
"Not getting dental treatment because consultants can't agree"
