"Dissatisfied with York Outpatients"

I had an appointment to see a consultant at York on 11/06/2007.

As usual I took an hour off work to get a blood sample taken. Sat in the chair and handed over my blood form but someone had written "No Bloods" on the form!

Re-booked my appointment to 25th and was sent another blood form and took another hour off to get blood taken.

My appointment on 25th was for 2.45 I arrived at 2.40 soaked through to the skin (it wasn't a nice day). I was shown into the consultation room at 3.30 (still soaked!) and listened to the consultant on a telephone in another room telling whoever she was speaking to about where she was going for her Italian meal that night!

She finished her call 10 minutes later and spoke to me for 2 minutes and asked me to stop at reception and make another appointment to be seen in 4 months! I waited at reception for 5 minutes but no-one turned up so I left without making an appointment!

All in all what turned out to be a 2 minute consultation took 4 hours! I won't be going back!
