We went to Preston birth center at 11am, midwife examined my girlfriend and said she is not ready and we can back home or just stay arround the hospital but not in the unit. We did not want to take risk so stayed by the unit main entrance and she was suffering there about till 3pm when we went back again because was having a massive delivery pains what came in every 3-4 minutes and took at least 35-40 seconds. Midwife said she is still not ready without doing a proper examination! Midwife saw and checked the durations of the delivery pain (45 second) what came in every 3rd minute and still just said you are not ready.
So midwife guessed she is not ready and sent us home. After than we went immediately to Chorley, after the examination midwife said must go to the birthing room because birthing has started. A mum was sent home with massive delivery pains that came in every 3-4 minutes without being properly checked and gave birth in a different hospital.
Why did midwife make a decission without to doing a proper examination? That was shocking for us and will never forget it!
I hope someone will get in touch with us soon from Preston hospital.
"We will never forget that socking day."
