I was admitted into K and C on Monday the 17th Nov for a heart attack (my 7th) and discharged on Friday the 21st Nov at about 6pm. the ward sister kept my bus pass, (I am 69) and my credit cards and had no transportation home, I was never asked if I needed transport to my home in Sturry, 7 miles away. When I went back to Invicta ward to look for my pass and cards, I was told I had been discharged and was not allowed back to the ward to look for my cards and angrily ordered to leave. I had to walk home, after 3 hours exposure I made it almost to Asda before collapsing when some passers-by saw me and called an ambulance to take me home. The next day one of the male nurses brought my cards and bus pass to my home, the sister had maliciously kept the bus pass to make me walk.

On the 2nd December I was readmitted to Invicta ward after being diagnosed as having pneumonia, which probably came from exposure after being discharged in November.

The consultants are excellent, and Tailor word is an example of how a ward should be properly run. Some of the ward sisters are excellent, and most of the nursing staff, but some behave more like prison guards than nurses.

Following an earlier heart attack, I was sent to Invicta ward, but not put on a monitor for 24 hours, when I was told I had had a heart attack and put on a monitor. Some of the equipment is faulty; the tube from an oxygen mask kept slipping of, depriving me of air and oxygen.
