"A review regarding the one nurse that treated me"

I was seen by a nurse who made me feel uncomfortable from the offset and seemed to have no empathy/compassion in the reasoning of me needing to be in AnE that day. In the whole 5 spare minutes they tended to me on a couple of occasions just shuck their shoulders saying they had no clue and at one point even asked me what do I think? which I answered with I don't know that's why I'm here. I had just been in a car which had been crashed into on the side I was sitting, in a lot of pain and very concerned as I already suffer with prolapsed disc which Results in sciatica and my arm was feeling very much like my leg does and they replied with how can you do damage to your nerve without breaking a bone (with a confused look on their face). The only examination they carried out was feeling my neck and getting me to squeeze their hands, and when I said I could not do this with my sore arm they basically said " why not, there's no reason u shouldn't be able to (again with the look on their face).

I was given a sling which was not put on properly and was trying to get it done so quickly they didn't even undo the Velcro a few time which resulted in it falling off. They did offer me morphine to see if

I could move my arm which confused me further as on the one hand they were saying there can't be anything wrong and on the other offering me the strongest drug. I turned this down as by this point I was made to feel like i had wasted their time.

I work in a busy dental surgery and as much as I sympathise with the long hours and work load of the nurses at the hospital, I would never no matter how tired or stressed I was would ever make a patient feel like they have no right to be there.

Furness Genral Hospital over 14 years (mainly in ward 1) and having to have a lot of operations never to have had a bad word to say about the hospital itself or the staff, but this nurse totally let you all down.
