I got to x-ray dept at the Guest and was told my form was out of date so they wouldn't see me. I was curtly and brusquely told to go back and see my GP, get a re-assessment and a new form.
They wouldn't hand the form back to me in case I tried to go elsewhere. Nice touch of non-trust there. I would hardly waste my time going elsewhere if the form wouldn't be eligible anywhere else - or would it be?
I was not happy. Not only does the form not say anything about a three month deadline, but the person who booked the appointment didn't check either. I now have to waste my GPs time and won't get in now until after my holidays. In addition, the slot I would have filled has been wasted. No apologies from the person, just a statement of fact. No offer to ring my GP so all in all the customer service was nil. If I treated my customers like that, I wouldn't have a business.
I now have to get a new form but I will not be coming back to such a shambolic hospital.
