"I was treated with dignity throughout ..."

About: Luton & Dunstable Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was treated with dignity throughout my 3 week stay in hospital, staff were very courteous, informative, helpfull to both myself and my visiting family. The staff at the L&D deserve a medal, from office, cleaning, nursing and consultant were great. Then I was transferred to a London hospital for tests unavailable at this hospital. Thank you to all.

What could be improved

Getting more services so there is no need to transfer patients to less than average hospitals elsewhere in the country.

Food could also be improved.

Anything else?

You are never going to stop patient/visitors smoking, give us a shelter, certain area near building, especially for security in the evening.

We try to offer the best possible service to our patients and it is good to hear that we have met your expectations - thank you for the kind comments.

As to smoking, we are currently reviewing the situation and hope to have a new plan for accommodating smokers soon.
