"The other side of the fence!"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

Admitted as a stroke emergency from Macclesfield A&E. After a CT head, it was decided I hadn't had a stroke and I was discharged home with a prescription for drugs which I couldn't have made up until the following day. However, I collapsed within 48 hrs at home and again was admitted to a stroke unit at another hospital where it was confirmed I had not only one but two strokes!

I have no complaints about the three doctors on duty, who all worked well as a team, although I told one of them off for 'shouting' at me......the doctor later said it was their normal way of speaking! The charge nurse was helpful and caring and they were all very sympathetic when they realised I was a retired nurse. However, was it safe to discharge me? My only other issue was, there was only a modicum of privacy. Now well enough 9 weeks later to write this feedback!
