"Medical HDU"

About: Russells Hall Hospital

My son Tyler was admitted on 21/4/16 extremely poorly from a life time battle with Cystic Fibrosis+Liver disorder. Sadly he died peacefully in his room on MHDU 30/4/16 aged just 30yrs surrounded by his family/friends.

Amid the sadness I want to thank the staff for their dedication and professionalism.

On Ty's last day we could not have asked for a better nurse, they were so caring and attentive treating Tyler with great dignity making his final hours as comfortable as possible.

The Dr in charge such a lovely genuine person who treated our family and friends with great dignity, sensitivity, and understanding and was on hand throughout Ty's final hours to explain the protocol and answer any questions we had.

They are a credit to their profession and R Hall hospital.

Tyler's funeral and internment took place at Gornal Crematorium on Friday 27/5/16

Thank you from bottom of our families heart.

John Jones [Tyler's dad].

Thank you, John, for taking the time to post your feedback at what must be a very difficult time for you and your family. Please accept our sincerest condolences on the sad loss of your son. It is reassuring to know that you feel Tyler received dignified care during his time in hospital and this helped to make him comfortable during his final hours. We know how important it is to family and friends to involve them, and keep them informed about their loved ones care. Your comments are very much appreciated and a testament to our staff on MHDU. We have passed your kind words onto the team.
