"Waiting list problem at Sunderland"

I have fought for weight loss surgery for a number of years and in May 2007 this year i was placed on the waiting list at sunderland royal. Great, you may think! especially as their waiting times is 18 weeks.

But 12 weeks or so later, at an appointment with the surgeon i was told: "Oh, you're not on the waiting list, but i will put you on it today" - so needless to say i am not happy as i have a letter stating i was in fact placed on the list in May.

I am now looking at the complaint procedure because it is my view that because this was no fault of mine i should not be made to suffer like this.
