"The way things are I could be awaiting months and months."

About: Locala Community Partnerships CIC / Podiatry

(as the patient),

I was referred for a podiatry appointment by my GP who said that when I had my appointment they would measure my feet, see how I walked and then probably get insoles for my shoes to support fallen arches.

I had an appointment in early April, no one measured my feet or looked at how I walked, just asked me for my shoe size and was told I would get insoles in about a month. It’s now been 7 weeks and have not received anything.

I have rung the clinic several times, its quite expensive to keep calling. Once, the person said they would call me back but no one did. I called again, the lady said she could see I had phoned a few times but she was not able to tell me anything.

It’s no good ringing that number, no one ever gets back or is able to tell you what’s happening. I just need to know whether I’m getting my feet looked at and treated by this clinic or not. If not then I can ask my doctor to refer me to somewhere else. The way things are I could be awaiting months and months.
