"Level of care, respect and dignity has been fantastic"

About: Northern General Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

From start to finish the level of care, respect and dignity shown to me has been fantastic. The NHS has been amazing from making the call to the ambulance service to having the heart bypass all staff have been timely, punctual and caring.

The only comment my family and I have is in NGH no visitors were allowed before 2pm. When I’d had the procedure and the consultant came to see me I didn’t understand or remember what he said. I would have preferred a family member with me.

Thank you for your positive feedback. Your kind words will be passed on to the department so that the staff are aware of the compliment.

I will also be passing on your comment regarding visiting times and communication to the senior managers and that you had not been able to grasp what the consultant had said to you for their consideration as I can appreciate after surgery patients can be overwhelmed with such information.

Kind regards
