"stroke unit"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital

my 81 yr old mother was transferred to royal Bolton stroke unit after spending 10 days in Salford royal, since having her stroke she hasn't been able to use her right hand and she cant speak, she cant feed herself, so she is starving because they don't feed her and the food (if you can call it food) is atrocious. They said we can make food for her and take it in and feed her during meal times, I know they are busy but they are the nurses and that is their job, we have our own jobs and can only go at visiting times. Now she has been put on a drip because she is dehydrated and will probably have to have a tube because shes not eating, she just seems a lot worse now from when she first had her stroke. A couple of days ago we went in and she was just lay there in a bed of urine.
