"The lovely nurses of Clinic P"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Chemotherapy

(as a relative),

My mum has been going through chemotherapy at Clinic P. It is a scary time for anyone, and the staff at clinic P are so caring, and thoughtful.

I'm so thankful that rather than treating my mum as just another patient, they took the time to chat away, and make her feel like a normal person. Not just a patient with cancer.

I cannot thank the staff enough for this.

I work in a small team within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Part of the team’s role is to support patients and carers through our feedback systems which will help to improve the services we provide. On Patient Opinion, I support Lorna Gray, Patient Experience Public Involvement Project Manager, and Niall McGrogan, Head of Patient Experience Public Involvement.

Dear BlueBumblebee

Thank you for taking the time to post on Patient Opinion. I am so pleased to hear that the way care has been delivered to your mum, at what must be a very difficult time, has not only made a difference to her but to you as well. What you have described is how we want every patient to feel.

I will pass on your kind words to the staff in Clinic P. I wish your mum well with the remainder of her treatment.

Best wishes

Lisa
