My severely disabled 19yr old son was admitted as an emergency back on the 9th of May to Caton ward, with a suspected shunt blockage and then Post surgery we spent our stay on Dott Ward.
We last spent time at Walton in 2003 when he was a patient on the then children's ward. So coming back with now an adult dependant son was somewhat daunting to say the least. Although why I worried I don't know, the care he and I as a parent who needed to stay with him to enable tests and procedures to be carried out.
I can't thank the entire Walton team enough, from the staff who've made me tea and brought me sandwiches and cleaned around us right through to my son's neurosurgeon and the staff in Sid Watkins who've given me a bed and access to a kitchen and a laundry for the past 16 days.
To each and everyone of you whatever part you played in my son's care, I Thankyou for everything from the bottom of my heart once again.
Jenni & Nathan xx
"Thankyou"
