I have been receiving treatment at the Arrhythmia Clinic since November 2015 for Atrial Fibrillation. I had a Cardioversion in February and an Ablation at another hospital in May 2016.
I have nothing but praise for the team at Kingston. The Specialist Arrhythmia Nurse is brilliant; it is so reassuring to have them as a point of contact to answer questions and chase up appointments. This nurse is highly experienced, competent and deeply caring. Under their care I feel safe and speak to them regularly by email or on the phone. They always return calls on the 3 days they are there.
This nurse administered the cardioversion and had arranged all the tests in time for it to be carried out within the period to ensure a successful outcome.
All the professionals who carried out the tests - ECG, Echo, Perfusion Study were also kind, competent and reassuring. They phoned me to make the appointments. This human contact is great.
On the day of the Cardioversion it was organised with great efficiency. There was some waiting around for things to begin, but everyone from the nurses to the anesthetist were so kind.
I not only felt well treated, but also well cared for - not always the same thing!
Thank you everyone.
My only reservation was the waiting time. It took 11 weeks from the GP referral to get to clinic and the wait was stressful.
"Superb Treatment and Care by the Arrhythmia Team"
