"opening times"

I have recently moved from Cornwall. my husband had an operation for a cancerous tumour this week and had a lot of pain and s welling in the night. We got through it Ok but the next day I wished to know if we could have gone to Trowbridge hosp rather than Bath in an emergency.I am 84 and would not be able to drive at night to Bath as I dont know the way.I phoned 5 times to ask and was told that the secretary was too busy to answer my call, I never got an answer. This is not good. I know I could have dialled 999 but wanted to avoid that if it could be sorted locally. Valerie.
