"Anti-TNF Home Deliveries"

About: The Boots Company plc

(as the patient),

Since 2008 I have 8 week deliveries provided by 'HealthCare at Home', their service was exceptional. They used a computerised system, telephoned you when your deliveries were due, texted you to confirm you would be in and offered a 2 hour time slot via their website. The drivers were friendly and helpful, sharp bins were collected as a matter of course.

Now the service has passed to Boots, a far larger company who offer a much inferior service. The Boots system is manual, you have to contact them to arrange deliveries, sharp bins are not collected at the same time, you have to let them know when you have two full bins and a separate company comes to collect them.

Another example of patients being put last when services are being designed - Boots needed to match the 'Healthcare at Home Service' for best value considerations to apply.
