"Great care during Adoc and A and E visit"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

Last week I had to go to Adoc at night and was then sent to A&E. I have to say that my treatment and care was exceptional. We are all quick to complain (myself included ) however we rarely give praise when it's due, especially on a recorded format.

I just wish to say thank you once again to the Dr's and nursing staff at Ayr hospital and to Dr Ashoka (Adoc) who made me feel safe in a very concerning situation. Your professionalism, care and dignity was very much appreciated. Thank you.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear ayrto,

Yes it is probably human nature, complaining is more likely when we are mad. When we are happy, complimenting may slip down our priority list yet it has far reaching benefits. As always, I will make sure that your post is passed to the teams so they can hear your praise and thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to post.

I hope you are well now,

best wishes,

Eunice
