About: University Hospital Monklands / Ear, Nose & Throat (Ward 9)

(as a parent/guardian),

Our daughter was admitted to Monklands hospital last week for a minor surgical procedure. The care we had from all the health professionals from the A&E at both Hairmyres and Monklands to the team in ENT on ward 9 was fantastic. They took great care to ensure our 4 year old daughter was as comfortable as she could be, making her calm as well as distracting her from what as going on around her. They kept us well informed throughout and treated the whole family with great care and professionalism. We very much appreciated all the care and time they took to explain what was happening to us. I have lived in Lanarkshire a long time but have never had any care at Monklands before and was very impressed with the team.

I know that the teams that you mention in Hairmyres and Monklands work hard to provide the best care possible. They will be very pleased to hear that both you and your daughter had such a positive experience.
