"Excellent urology consultant"

I had to have a Cystoscopy last week for a potentially serious problem. To say I was anxious about this procedure and the possible results is an absolute understatement! I was under the care of Mr Sarmah, Consultant Urologist and I cannot praise him enough! I had seen him once at my first outpatient appointment and realised then that this man was a very capable Consultant - 'gut feeling' so to speak. Mr Sarmah elected to do the procedure for me himself and it was the most comfortable, least complicated cystoscopy I have ever had (this was my fourth one over the years). His Registrar was also present and very kind and the little Nurse in the cystoscopy suite was calming, re-assuring and kind too. Too often these days when attending hospital you can feel like a number but Mr Sarmah and his team made me feel like a human being and I felt cared for and in good hands...a truly compassionate, professional, capable Consultant. I cannot thank him and his team enough.
