"Care after TIA"

About: Royal Derby Hospital

Having suffered what turned out to be a TIA, I was taken by ambulance to A&E.

At all times in the ambulance and hospital over a Saturday and Sunday I received exemplary care.

I was given top priority for tests and kept informed at all times.

All staff I encountered were excellent.

I have since read widely on TIA and recognise that the level of rapid treatment I received over 2 days is not the case across the NHS.

I am very grateful

It was very kind of you to take the time to write to the hospital; I am pleased to hear that you had a positive experience and that you wish to express your grateful thanks to the Ambulance Service and the Accident and Emergency Department.

I will forward your kind comments to the managers of A+E and EMAS and ask for them to share them with their staff.

I hope you are recovering well.
