I was admitted to this hospital for an ankle fusion on my left ankle. The minute I was placed under the care of the consultant and their staff team I was treated with great care, concern, patience, respect and kindness by all staff. The consultant was reassuring and discussed the procedure in great and specific detail. The Nurses and ward staff showed great empathy and were very kind to all members of the public on the ward, even if some of the patients treated them like they were servants. The ward staff were never given a minute to spend any time with the elderly and demanding patients who were sometimes rude and spoke to the staff with no manners.
I had a lot of sympathy that the staff were treated to abuse from some patients and were not appreciated by some of the patients and their families . I personally was very pleased and satisfied with all aspects of my care and treatment from the care team. The nurses who dispensed the medication were very much under pressure and need more time to conduct their duties in a more safe and timely manner.
The nursing auxiliary staff were very kind and caring and made my time on the ward more pleasant and stress free. I cannot give all the care team enough praise and thanks for their dedication, professionalism and commitment to their roles and duties.
