"My husband was admitted to the ..."

About: Salisbury District Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

My husband was admitted to the hospital with what turned out to be a necrotising fasciitis infection of his hand & arm.The staff; microbiologists, surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists etc.were an exeptionally efficient working team. My husbands health and recovery were of paramount importance and they all had his welfare at heart. They were very kind to me also, explaining what was going on and telling me of his progress and we had the utmost confidence in them. The fact that he made a full recovery, we fully believe, was down to their excellent care. He has had follow up rehabilitation at their Wessex care dept. all of which was carried out with the same care and efficiency. We are deaply indebted to these marvelous people.

Anything else?

We believe that Laverstock and the burns unit wards were staffed by people of the highest quality whilst my husband was a patient there. They were very friendly, happy people and willing to go the extra yard for their patients. We think that this helps with patient recovery.

Thank you for taking the time to give us this feedback on your family's recent experience at Salisbury District Hospital. Your message has been sent to the teams involved in your husband's care as it is important that they know that their care is appreciated.

We are delighted to hear that your husband made a full recovery, and also pleased that you feel that you were both well cared for by our teams during and after his hospital stay.

Once again, many thanks
