There are many reports about this hospital that are not complimentary but I am here to give you a different view. I came to a very packed waiting room at A&E at 5 p.m. on Friday evening and reported to the front desk. In due course I was seen by the triage nurse and shortly thereafter was taken to the operative area where I suddenly collapsed. I was told that a number of nursed surrounded me and brought me back. Superb treatment followed and the attention to detail and care were exemplary. Treatment continued until four in the morning when I was taken to the ward feeling assured that I was in good hands and I slept for a few hours.
I had the feeling that many in the waiting room were arriving for non-urgent matters putting the system under tremendous strain.
I can only thank you for the treatment I received and the care shown to me by all the doctors and nurses.
"A&E Experience Excellent"
