"Partial thyroid removal"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

On Wednesday I underwent an operation to remove a large nodule and my left side of my Thyroid gland. From the very start of my admission everyone treated me with kindness.

The consultant and theatre team were very reassuring and helped allay my fears.

When back on ward d8 again all the Doctors,Nurses and care staff were excellent.

My stay was longer than expected but I at no time felt I was taking up 1 of the much needed beds!

The food was good and even though the nurses were at everyone's beck and call(some were quite demanding of their time) they treated us all with care and nothing seemed to be too much trouble.

Thankyou so much.

Jenny Reekie.
